Closing event of project “Tackling Indebtedness in Georgia through Czech Innovations”

Yesterday, People in Need gathered important stakeholders from international and national organizations during the Closing Event for the project “Tackling Indebtedness in Georgia through Czech Innovations”. During the event, People in Need and GeoWel Research had the opportunity to present successful project’s results and key information from the Research Report with policy recommendations.

The event took place at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Georgia and brought together relevant actors in a vibrant roundtable discussion to seek possible solutions to the household debt crisis.

Part of the event was dedicated to seek out future partnerships and collaborations in order to ensure the sustainability of the project since, as research findings show, a more ambitious action plan is needed to address the real scale of the needs and consolidate a framework of consumer protections in Georgia.

The event is part of a project implemented by People in Need in partnership with GeoWel Research and is funded by United Nations Development Programme – UNDP through the Challenge Fund, with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic
