The Georgian Education Advocacy Project (2020-2021)

The project is looking at the challenges of General Education System in Georgia. The main goal of the project is to help ensure that teachers, parents and other stakeholders, particularly from socially vulnerable groups, can act as well-informed and committed supporters of Georgian educational reform. As a result, the reform agenda will be better oriented to protect the needs of those who are currently worst-served by the Georgian school system. The project aims to facilitate inclusive education and to help develop a more informed, active and engaged citizenry, thus contributing to goals of increased Gender Equality, Social Inclusion and Civic Engagement.

The main project activities are:

1. Production of policy papers on issues relating to education and vulnerable populations
2. Production of articles and blog posts on issues relating to education and vulnerable populations
3. Maintain a database/platform of public school infrastructure needs
4. Engage with parents in most challenged schools, on infrastructure

The project is funded by the Embassy of the United States in Georgia.
